Floating Water Plants
Floating plants are used as a form of decoration for ponds. Should be planted as free-rooted floating on the water surface. Sold in portion of handfuls. (NOTE: Due to some the speedy growth of some floating aquatic plants, please dispose of any excess or unwanted plants thoughtfully. Either use it as mulch, put in a compost bin for composting or bag up and throw into garbage bin. DO NOT under any circumstances dispose or release any of them in any natural water ways.) Dispatch anytime of the year unless specified.

| Azolla filiculoides (Pacific Azolla) Medium green feathery foliage that resemble the foliage of ferns. Snowflake shaped foliage.

| Azolla pinnata (Ferny Azolla) Light green but sometimes reddish-brown foliage. Similar to the previous but are more flat and foliage triangular in shape.

| Ceratophyllum demersum (Hornwort) Dark green brushy & brittle foliage. Floats just beneath the water surface. Sometimes used as a submergent plant anchored to the bottom of pond or water feature. Not for Tas.

| Ceratopteris pteridoides (Floating Water Sprite/Giant Floating Fern) Large floating blunted lobe shaped leaves bright green in colour. Spreads by forming young floating leaves that detaches itself from the edge of the leaf of an older plant.

| Wolffia australiana (Tiny Duckweed) The smallest flowering plant in the world. Around 1 to 1.5mm of floating tiny green fronds, rootless. Sinks to the bottom of ponds over the winter period. Rare.
